Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television host in America as well as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, explains the basics of cooking that any person can master. Chef Burrell is also a part of several of the most prestigious restaurants located in New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy, and battled on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and food at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America is where she enrolled following her graduation with an English degree as well as a communications certificate in Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute that I was a student in The Culinary Institute of America she declares. It was difficult to master, do or work enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell lived in Italy for a whole year studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. The chef gained an understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions during her stay in Italy, which has influenced her cooking style. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten children living with obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she promotes children with diabetes and awareness. She talks about her culinary passion, and also shares her experiences in the food world when she is in the United States for both her roles as mentors and speakers. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my passion to others.
