Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist competing with the Flyweight Division of UFC. Valentina is her younger sister, and also a UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports journey with a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an the unanimous vote. Antonina followed it up with a silver-medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 and a gold award in the year 2011 and the title of 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003 and took home an award at the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Schevchenko started her professional MMA career in 2002 after the victory over Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won with a TKO in the second round, and then won her 2 subsequent fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko was forced to take a time off from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. After leaving the league in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina utilized superior strikes to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the final clinch. After this win, Antonina was able to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC during the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious via unanimous decision but lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina bounced right back after the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. This fight earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights before losing them to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
